I have to be honest here, this is the first time that any of my kids have ever used any sort of copywork. With them both being in older grades, I thought that they would have no use for copywork. I have always looked at it simply as handwriting practice, but I couldn't have been more wrong. Homeschool Copywork  is about more than just handwriting.  Copywork is new to us, but I found it to have unexpected benefits that I didn't account for. Writing out 1 Corinthians 13 not only helped my daughter to memorize it in record time, but also gave her the added benefit of spelling and punctuation practice that added to her grammatical skills as a whole. There were also pictures on each page that she could spend time coloring, which was a great way to relax and regroup before heading into her next subject for the day!
