I read this verse while doing my devotions a few days ago and it really popped out at me.
"The Lord is good, a strong refuge when trouble comes. He is close to those who trust in Him." Nahum 1:7
I am so thankful that I am not one that is hopeless when trouble comes, instead I find my help in the Lord!
Sometimes putting our trust in God is not our first reaction. When trouble comes, there are times we try to handle things on our own. We instantly dig in and think that we can work things out on our own, but all we end up doing is wearing ourselves out. It is only when I place my situation, no matter what it is, in God's hands that I find true peace, contentment and rest.
So no matter what it is you are facing remember the words of Nahum 1:7 and put your hope and trust in God....he is close to those who trust in Him!!
